Vedfolnir is Odur's companion.  Vedfolnir is also the hawk that sits between the Eagle's eyes on the tree Yggdrasil. Vedfolnir, Old Norse "Veðrfölnir", means storm pale, wind bleached, or wind-witherer.  He is characterized as a Siberian Goshawk.
