In Mythology and Tradition, Hela is half dead with her two servants being "lazy walkers", i.e., zombies. She has a Hel-hound.She is depicted with black eyes and hair to reflect her dark soul, and that she is in league with Loki. The Mythological depiction is a metaphor for reputation, symbolism, and/or what she is known for.

Features to include when drawing:

  • Black hair
  • Black eyes
  • Half flesh, half "downcast"
  • Ruler of Hel where the old and sick go when they die
  • The place Hel has great mansions, high walls, and great gates
  • Hela has 2 servants, a male Ganglati and a female, Ganglot who are "lazy walkers" (think zombies)
  • She is Loki's daughter
  • Her helmet is like Loki's in that it has down-turned goat horns on it.
  • She has "Helhounds" (wolves) that guard her gates
  • Colors: Black, red, gold - Splash Color = Red 

Hela represents one of the destructions - envy. 

In Legends, Hela is very beautiful but wear a mask or helmet to cover part of her face (to cover a scar or burn for example), she has two servants who are meely in appearance and are bonded to Hela, so they might have a slave collar or the like. She has a Hel-hound. She is depicted with black eyes and hair to reflect her dark soul, and that she is in league with Loki.
