Thjazi is leader of Thrymheim, located in Jotunheim. Thjazi is Skadi's father. In Mythology, Loki lures Idunna out of Asgard, Thjazi turns himself into a giant Eagle and captures Idunna, demanding she give him her magic apples. Loki borrows Freyja's Falcon cloak to rescue Idunna. After Idunna's escape, during her pursuit, Thjazi is killed.

In Legends, Thjazi is a King who flies the Eagle Banner. Loki convinces Idunna to go to Thrymheim where Thjazi captures Idunna. Idunna is rescued by the Valkyrie Falcon Guard. After Idunna's escape, during her pursuit, Thjazi is killed. He should be depicted in a castle hall. He is an evil villain who encourages Idunna's maidens to be ravished.
